About

Aldi Difinubun is an Indonesian-Australian artist working through performance for camera, installation and sculpture. Reconfiguring industrial aesthetics and raw materials, their practice examines constraint as it emerges through a task-based approach to performance and sculpture. Difinubun’s work positions object and body against utility, instead examining structural tensions as an ongoing material condition.

Represented by Syrup Contemporary, Difinubun presented their debut solo exhibition What is Measured Cannot Come Undone in 2026 having graduated with a Master’s degree from the National Art School in 2025. Recent group exhibitions include The Sculpture Show with Minerva and Mega (2025) and Mojo KitKat with Schmick Contemporary at SUPERMARKET Stockholm Independent Art Fair (2024). Additionally, Difinubun was a finalist in the Fischer’s Ghost Art Award (2024) and was the recipient of both the Standish & Co. Scholarship and the Joel Corrigan Memorial Photography Award in 2023.
